FIRAT X UAS Loan Program 2025

Welcome to the FIRAT – UAS Ubuntu Scholarship Loan Program 2025 (the “Program”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your participation in the Program. By applying for or participating in the Program, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
For the purposes of this Terms of Service, wherever FIRAT is mentioned, it refers to the Foresight Institute of Research and Translation (FIRAT), as well as United Africa Shillings (UAS) and its associated partners, specifically in relation to the administration, management and other services relating to the FIRAT – UAS Ubuntu Scholarship Loan Program.
1. Overview
The FIRAT X UAS Loan Program is a collaborative initiative between FIRAT (Foresight Institute of Research and Translation) and United Africa Shilling (UAS). Launched in 2025, the Program aims to provide interest-free loans to African learners enrolled in higher education and other learning institutions across the continent. With a total loan pool of $1,000,000, the Program seeks to empower learners by alleviating financial barriers and fostering academic and professional growth.
2. Key Features
Total Loan Pool:
- Amount: $1,000,000
- Distribution: Funds are allocated to support eligible learners.
Eligibility:
- Target Audience: African learners in higher education or other learning institutions.
- Selection Criteria:
- Upholding the Ubuntu Philosophy: Significant consideration is given to applicants who embody the Ubuntu philosophy—promoting community, mutual support, and shared success. Applicants who actively refer colleagues to the program through the designated referral system will receive priority consideration. This system ensures that referrals are efficiently tracked and rewarded, fostering an environment of collective progress and growth in alignment with the Ubuntu values.
- Financial Need: Priority is given to those with significant financial constraints.
- Academic Merit: Strong academic records are considered.
- Repayability: Applicants must demonstrate a viable plan or potential to repay the loan.

- Educational Resources: Access to research guides, workshops, and exclusive digital content.
- FIRAT Digital Badges: Earn badges for completing courses and milestones, and even for participating in the loan Programs.
- Virtual Events: Participate in webinars, conferences, and other virtual events.
- Research Competitions: Entry into academic and research competitions with potential rewards.
- Referral Bonuses: Earn FET through successful referrals and community engagement.
FIRAT Education Tokens (FET):
- Role: FET is the exclusive currency within the FIRAT ecosystem.
- Uses of FET:
- Selected Course Fee Payment in FIRAT Academy: Pay for educational programs, workshops, and certifications.
- Exclusive Content Access: Unlock research papers and digital materials.
- Event Participation: Pay for entry to events and webinars.
- FIRAT Digital Badges: Purchase and redeem badges.
- Research Competitions: Entry fees and rewards.
- Referral Incentives: Earn and spend FET through referrals.
- Donations and Philanthropy: Contribute to charitable initiatives and research projects.
- Access to Virtual Labs and Tools: Pay for advanced research tools and simulation software.
- Peer-to-Peer Transactions: Facilitate trades for educational resources and collaborative projects.
Support and Community Engagement:
- Telegram Channel: Dedicated for announcements, updates, loan status, and community support.
- Social Media Engagement: Active participation on Twitter by following, liking, retweeting, and commenting on FIRAT and UAS posts.
- Customer Support: Reach out via [email protected] for any inquiries or assistance.
3. Loan Terms
3.1 Interest-Free Loans:
- All loans provided through the Program are interest-free.
3.2 Loan Amounts:
- The Program does not specify individual loan ranges. Allocation is based on the total loan pool and applicant qualifications.
3.3 Repayment Terms:
- Repayment terms will be outlined in the loan agreement provided upon approval.
- Typically, repayment is expected upon completion of studies or commencement of employment.
4. Program Participation
4.1 Account Creation:
- Participants must create an account on the Program platform and complete all required onboarding steps.
4.2 Account Security:
- Participants are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts, including their Phantom Wallets.
- FIRAT is not liable for any unauthorized access or loss of funds resulting from compromised accounts.
4.3 Compliance:
- Participants must adhere to all Program rules and guidelines.
- Non-compliance may result in disqualification or termination of loan benefits.
5. Use of Funds
5.1 Permitted Use:
- Loans are intended solely for educational purposes, including but not limited to tuition, books, housing, and other academic-related expenses.
5.2 Prohibited Use:
- Funds must not be used for personal expenses unrelated to education, investment, or any illegal activities.
5.3 Misuse of Funds:
- Misuse of loan funds may result in the immediate termination of the loan.
- Participants may be required to repay the full loan amount earlier than scheduled if misuse is detected.
6. FIRAT’s Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
6.1 No Liability for Indirect Damages:
- FIRAT, its affiliates, partners, and representatives shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Program.
6.2 Cryptocurrency Risks:
- While the Program utilizes blockchain technology, participants assume all risks associated with the use of cryptocurrency, including potential loss of funds due to technical errors, security breaches, or fluctuations in cryptocurrency value.
- FIRAT and its partners are not responsible for any losses or liabilities resulting from these factors.
6.3 Hold Harmless Clause:
- By participating in the Program, applicants agree to hold FIRAT and its affiliates harmless from any legal claims, disputes, or actions related to the Program, including issues arising from the use of loan funds or cryptocurrency management.
6.4 Program Modification and Termination:
- FIRAT reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time without notice and without liability to participants.
7. Data Privacy
7.1 Data Collection:
- FIRAT collects, stores, and processes personal information provided by applicants solely for administering the Program.
7.2 Data Security:
- FIRAT implements appropriate measures to ensure the privacy and security of all personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
7.3 Data Usage:
- Participants consent to the use of their data for Program-related communications, updates, and marketing purposes.
7.4 Third-Party Sharing:
- Personal data will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent, except as required by law.
8. Dispute Resolution
8.1 Arbitration:
- Any disputes arising from or related to the Program will be subject to arbitration in accordance with the laws of Rwanda.
8.2 Waiver of Class Action:
- By participating in the Program, you agree to waive the right to any class action or collective legal proceedings.
9. Acceptance of Terms
9.1 Agreement:
- By applying for or participating in the FIRAT X UAS Loan Program 2025, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
9.2 Term Updates:
- FIRAT reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Participants are encouraged to review them periodically.
