Opportunities for Research Trainees, Volunteers, and Expert Collaborators

The Foresight Institute of Research and Translation (FIRAT) Rwanda, is pleased to announce a call for applications from motivated research trainees, committed volunteers, and highly qualified professionals (PhD holders) seeking to contribute meaningfully to Africa-driven, impact-oriented research and policy engagement.

As part of our strategic vision to foster knowledge translation, innovation, and the Africanization of science and policy, FIRAT Rwanda is actively seeking individuals with expertise or a strong interest in the following thematic areas:

🔬 Priority Areas of Engagement:

  1. Cold Chain Management / Supply Chain Logistics / Temperature Regulation Equipment Engineering
  2. Science Policy / Public Health / Science at the Interface of Policy and Action
  3. Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML)
  4. Languages, Language Science, and Language Digitalisation
  5. Education Technology and Innovation Science
  6. Translational Science and Clinical Research
  7. Development Technology

We aim to build an active community of collaborators—including early-career researchers, postgraduate trainees, experienced academics, and sector professionals—who will participate in:

  1. Collaborative Research Projects
  2. Policy Roundtables and Strategic Dialogues
  3. Innovative Science Communication and Translation
  4. Capacity Building for Evidence-Informed Action

  2. Master’s level graduates or ongoing trainees looking for research or volunteer opportunities.
  3. Experts and professionals with experience in the above-listed fields.
  4. Individuals passionate about collaborative, transdisciplinary, and policy-relevant research.

📅 Application Deadline:

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but early submissions are encouraged for priority consideration.
