We collect Personal Data in the following circumstances:

3.1 Event Registrations

When You register for an Event through the Website, We collect:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number (where provided)
  • Organisational affiliation and professional title (where provided)
  • Country of residence
  • Any additional information submitted through the registration form

3.2 Contact Forms

When You submit an enquiry or message through the Website's contact form, We collect:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • The content of Your message
  • Any attachments or supporting materials You choose to provide

3.3 Newsletter and Communications Subscriptions

When You subscribe to FIRAT's newsletters, publications, or communications, We collect:

  • Event registration data is retained for a period of three (3) years following the relevant Event, to enable follow-up communications and for record-keeping purposes.
  • Contact form submissions are retained for a period of two (2) years from the date of submission.
  • Newsletter subscriber data is retained until You withdraw Your consent or unsubscribe, and for up to twelve (12) months thereafter for suppression purposes.
  • Technical and log data is retained for up to twelve (12) months.

Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, Personal Data will be securely deleted or anonymised.

6. Disclosure of Personal Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade Your Personal Data to third parties.

We may disclose Your Personal Data to:

  • Service providers and processors who assist Us in operating the Website and delivering the Services — for example, email delivery platforms, hosting providers, and event management tools. Notwithstanding these measures, no transmission of data over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Any transmission is at Your own risk. Once We have received Your data, We will use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access.

The Website may contain links to third-party websites. This Policy applies only to the Website. FIRAT is not responsible for the privacy practices of linked third-party websites and encourages You to review the privacy policies of any third-party site You visit.
